Mr. Bales is a class act! He was friendly and smiling from the start. He weighed and tested directly in front of me. He took time to explain each type of gold and pricing. I am more than happy with my sale. We even swapped a few funny stories……Safe, clean and very transparent.

The owner is a really down to earth and made the process of selling my old gold so easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a no nonsense, honest experience.

I had some old and broken jewelry to sell for melt, and was happy to find Todd. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained the process as he assessed my items. Once finished, he gave me a good deal.

Came across some old gold necklaces my parents gave me when I was younger and didn't know what to do with them. I don't wear jewelry, let alone a gold chain so they're basically just collecting dust. I decided to look around the area to see what I can sell them for and came across glowing reviews for Allen Gold and Silver Exchange. Decided to swing by and pay Todd a visit. Allen Gold and Silver Exchange is a tiny, inconspicuous 2-room office situated inside the Caddo co-working space building on Watters Rd., right across the street from the Credit Union of Texas building. If you inform Todd that it is your first time selling gold, he'll immediately establish rapport with you and will explain in details the process, the cost of doing business upfront (basically how much he takes to cover his operating costs), the current price of gold, how much your jewelry is net worth after taking his share, and a little bit of exposition - i.e. how long he's been in business, and why he's in the profession. Very swell and stand up, down to earth kind of guy. If you decide to move forward and sell your jewelry, he'll give you the option of accepting payment in cash or check (wasn't sure if direct deposit was an option). Anyways, the interaction was less than 10 minutes and I am off with a check. If you come across some old jewelry and don't know what to do with them, e.g. from an estate/will/living trust, or just want to exchange them for some quick cash, give Todd at Allen Gold and Exchange a visit and see what your options are. No obligations!

Had a great experience with Todd! He was efficient, fair, and very straightforward. Gave me a price and payment for my item after only a few minutes. The offer was double what I was offered at another place in McKinney (which I thought was extremely low, hence coming to Todd). He was also very pleasant with my 2 young daughters i brought with me and offered them butterscotch candies out of the bowl, to which they happily obliged, lol. Will be back to Todd for any and all jewelry exchanges moving forward.

Googled where to sell jewelry in Allen and was excited to find Todd right down the street. So we popped in and Todd was very gracious and looked at our pieces. He was fun to work with and gave us very fair prices. If you have jewelry to sell, I highly recommend going to see Todd! Todd, Thanks for making my moms day!

Best rate for gold I could find. Todd made the selling process clear, upfront, very quick and easy. I couldn’t recommend more!
