Came across some old gold necklaces my parents gave me when I was younger and didn't know what to do with them. I don't wear jewelry, let alone a gold chain so they're basically just collecting dust. I decided to look around the area to see what I can sell them for and came across glowing reviews for Allen Gold and Silver Exchange. Decided to swing by and pay Todd a visit. Allen Gold and Silver Exchange is a tiny, inconspicuous 2-room office situated inside the Caddo co-working space building on Watters Rd., right across the street from the Credit Union of Texas building. If you inform Todd that it is your first time selling gold, he'll immediately establish rapport with you and will explain in details the process, the cost of doing business upfront (basically how much he takes to cover his operating costs), the current price of gold, how much your jewelry is net worth after taking his share, and a little bit of exposition - i.e. how long he's been in business, and why he's in the profession. Very swell and stand up, down to earth kind of guy. If you decide to move forward and sell your jewelry, he'll give you the option of accepting payment in cash or check (wasn't sure if direct deposit was an option). Anyways, the interaction was less than 10 minutes and I am off with a check. If you come across some old jewelry and don't know what to do with them, e.g. from an estate/will/living trust, or just want to exchange them for some quick cash, give Todd at Allen Gold and Exchange a visit and see what your options are. No obligations!

Had a great experience with Todd! He was efficient, fair, and very straightforward. Gave me a price and payment for my item after only a few minutes. The offer was double what I was offered at another place in McKinney (which I thought was extremely low, hence coming to Todd).
